The Original "Shady Frase"
August 23, 1979 - September 16, 2020
Stephanie Frase, had a vibrant heart and is the singular inspiration for the sanctuary at Shady Frase Farm. Steph was the sister, only sibling, and best friend of Jeff the Farmer. Shady Frase was her nickname, and social media handle. Stephanie passed in September of 2020, due to mental health complications and suicide. She left behind three amazing children. She was an incredible person, and such a beautiful soul. Her death became the source and inspiration for so many others to receive healing through the farm, it's animals, and the community it has created. Shady Frase Farm carries her legacy, her love and her light, reminding us that even in silence, nature speaks into us healing and renewal.
Shady Frase Farm was born from the desire to turn that loss into a beacon of hope—a place where others can ground themselves, reset, and find the resources needed for mental wellness.
At the core of our mission at Shady Frase Farm is fostering the growth of suicide awareness and helping provide resources for suicide prevention, helping those in addiction overcome the affects of drugs and alcohol on mental health, and inspiring alignment with the best versions of ourselves- in our "Mind. Body. Soul."
